Balmville FIT Club participates in Safe Harbors 5K
The Balmville Fit Club was established in 2012 and it is a running/fitness program for kids of all fitness levels in 4th and 5th grade. It’s designed to get kids moving and prevent obesity and illness. Over the course of a program cycle (January - May) children in The Balmville Fit Club will engage in a series of fun and energizing activities to promote movement and healthy life choices. Students will run/walk and participate in aerobic activities two times a week (Tuesday & Thursday from 8:30 - 9:15 am). The culminating activity of The Balmville Fit Club is participation in a 5k run to support Safe Harbors of the Hudson. The following picture is from May 21st, 2017 when the Fit Club participated in the Safe Harbors 5K!
