Heritage Middle School Students Create Blackout Poems
The sixth-grade students on Team 6C at Heritage Middle School created Blackout Poems. What is Blackout Poetry? Blackout poetry is when you take a written piece of text from a book, newspaper, or magazine and box it in words in order to come up with a poem. The images are drawn around the word pertaining to the poem. Here are some poems that my students created.
