Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Wrestling Team Makes History at State Championships!
HISTORY MAKING! Not just one, but TWO Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Wrestlers have won State Championship title in their respective weight classes!
Will Soto (101lbs.)
Cooper Merli (108lbs.)
Soto had a perfect season, breaking two school records going 51-0 for this season and having an overall record of 99-6 as an Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Varsity Record.
This is Cooper Merli’s second consecutive State Championship title. Last year Merli took home the title at 102lbs. Merli was the first Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø state champion since Al Favata in 1968.
Five athletes from the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Varsity Wrestling team competed at States, with four earning state titles - another school record!
