Girls Tennis Preview | Viviene Bucci heads Â鶹¹ÙÍø tennis roster

Viviene Bucci, as an eighth grader, was the Â鶹¹ÙÍø girls’ tennis team’s top finisher last year, as she reached the quarterfinals of last year’s Section 9 tournament.
This year, she will be one of the Goldbacks’ top returners.
The Goldbacks lost five players of last year’s team: Olivia Steiner, Jessica Fendt, Gigi Pollick, Gabby DeSiervo, and Taryn Sileno.
Returning behind Bucci are three seniors: Cora Kerin, Zara Tranquada and Lambrini Andrianis. Sienna Copans and Angie Ludena will be new to the team this year.
Fourth-year coach Arturo Santana said he hopes his team will post a .500 record after going 6-4 last season. He also wants to see four players qualify for October’s Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament.
