10th graders from Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø, North Excelsior Academy Count Eels in Quassaic Creek
10th grade students from Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø, North Campus Excelsior Academy volunteer to count eels in Quassaic Creek each week. Students participate in this community service initiative with the DEC) and .
Eels swim into a net that allows the students to take a count. The students then travel slightly upstream to release the eels. Throughout their weeks of volunteering, students have counted anywhere between two single eels and 2,000 eels at a time.
